The underbelly of this piece is the remnants of a giant tree limb, which shows as a knot in the character maple top.
Made from a forked part of a tree, it has three legs all of which are a continuation of the top. This piece mimics a waterfall; the top is a placid river suddenly dropping off a cliff to create the leg.
