A casualty of poor human engineering. This tree was planted in it's root sack which was supposed to dissolve in the soil, but the string around the top of the sack was plastic...the tree grew well for several years then eventually choked on the plastic cord.
Tragic really, but it's memory is preserved in this beautiful root table.
