The Edge of community

“Sharing a meal is one of the oldest and most meaningful rituals known to human kind. It is the central experience to nearly every celebration and rite of passage...In a world where we increasingly live alone, eat alone and even communicate alone, sometimes it is just comforting to be alone beside another human.”
John Lore, Owner and President, Live Edge Design

A Communal or Community table is a large table in a restaurant or café meant for a collection of individuals or small groups. Read more in 'The science behind the communal table'...

Live Edge Design Inc. creates communal tables of note for the coolest restaurants, coffee houses, vineyards and hotel lobbies. Sizes and looks are completely customized to fit the client. Options include power and USB ports, built in ice buckets for wine or seafood and chafing dishes.

River run dining table

This month we introduce the River Run table to our online store. This dining table is made of two walnut slabs from the same tree, whose live edge faces inward creating a full length glass inlay, or tide pool. The steel legs are finished in 'Gun Metal' and feature inset river rocks. Click to view in our online store...
