October News from Live Edge Design : Fame, Footage, Fortitude

FAME HAS FINALLY FOUND US
(still working on the fortune)

Early last week the House Beautiful team of the Times Colonist came to my home for a visit (see the article Saturday 29th Oct). This Monday I was interviewed by Victoria's YAM Magazine (for their January design edition) and I am fresh from a filming with CHEK for their TREND segment with interior designer, Amy McGeachy. Those of you who know me realize how uncomfortable the attention makes me, however, I am extremely proud of our team and the success we have had promoting West Coast Design and salvaged wood. Thanks to the local media for bringIing our work and the genre to the forefront!

FOUR SEASONS...

This walnut wall art installation can now be seen at Four Seasons Las Vegas.

FOOTAGE

This mammoth conference table measures 32ft long and 6ft wide. It was no easy task getting this through the work shop (and finishing booth) but it was worth it!

To achieve the 32ft length we used four slices from the same, massive, salvaged tree. The edge profile and grain detail are breathtaking.

FORWARD THINKING

Our oneTree dining suite is returning to Vancouver Island from Lake Oswego, Oregon. We are looking for a home for this stunning collection or another exhibition opportunity.
