Insight from Amber, Unveiling of doors, oneTree at IDS Vancouver and latest projects from Live Edge Design

....an epic month indeed!

GRAIN INGRAINED

One of my earliest memories is of playing in the sawdust that fell from my dad's table saw.  My brother and I used to create roads, and drive our matchbox cars through it, we'd bury treasure of marbles and shells in it and we'd throw it in the air, laughing as it floated to the ground. He was forever designing and building out in his workshop, and it was where I loved to be, watching him create with his hands.

Fast forward many years, and the smell of that workshop is ingrained in my mind.  When we're running through some cedar or fir in the planer/sander here at Live Edge, I'm thrown back to those days of playing in the sawdust, watching my dad.

My schooling, and my first few jobs, took me far from the workshop, but this company is the one that I have felt most at home at.  I believe it's because wood is in your blood, and will always draw you back to its possibilities.
